Job Overview
IFAS is looking for a highly experienced Chief Accountant to join the senior leadership team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented accounting professional with strong knowledge of financial operations, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial management.
As Chief Accountant, you will ensure accuracy in financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, and provide actionable insights to support business decision-making in a fast-growing organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Management: Reconcile Accounts Receivable, customer advances, Accounts Payable, and supplier advances
- Intercompany Reconciliation: Identify and resolve intercompany discrepancies promptly
- Payment & Cash Oversight: Review payment vouchers and petty cash transactions for accuracy and compliance
- Financial Reporting: Record and review prepayments, accruals, provisions, and month-end adjustment entries
- Month-End Closing: Support and streamline the month-end closing process
- Ad Hoc Support: Assist with accounting tasks, reporting, and special projects as required
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and reporting
Requirements
- Relevant professional accounting certification
- 13+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance
- Strong command of English
- Proven experience in a similar senior accounting role
- Excellent communication, coordination, and teamwork skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines
