About the Role:
A reputed semi-government organization in Qatar is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to oversee daily financial operations, reporting, and compliance with international accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in financial reporting, reconciliation, and ERP systems, along with a thorough understanding of IFRS and Qatar’s payroll (WPS) requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable (AP/AR), and bank reconciliations

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Maintain and update fixed asset registers and handle closing entries
-
Monitor budgets, analyze financial variances, and recommend improvements

Ensure compliance with IFRS and organizational internal controls
-
Process payroll in line with Wage Protection System (WPS) standards
-
Liaise effectively with auditors, banks, and external stakeholders
-
Maintain organized financial documentation and records for audit readiness
Candidate Requirements:
✅ Must be born in Qatar (Qatari nationals preferred)
✅ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (mandatory)
✅ 5–8 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance
✅ CMA / CPA certification is an added advantage
✅ Strong understanding of IFRS and audit procedures
✅ Proficient in MS Excel and ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or Odoo)
✅ Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
✅ Must be based in Qatar with a transferable visa/NOC
