Merit Packaging Limited is seeking a qualified and dynamic Assistant Manager – Reporting & Taxation to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing taxation matters, and ensuring compliance with IFRSs and company policies.

🔑 Key Responsibilities:
✅ Prepare financial statements, budgets, and forecasts in accordance with IFRSs
✅ Manage and analyze product/service costing including variance analysis to identify profitability drivers
✅ Ensure accurate and timely tax compliance (income tax, sales tax, withholding tax)
✅ Conduct financial analysis and provide actionable insights to senior management
✅ Lead and mentor junior accountants, fostering a collaborative team environment
✅ Coordinate with internal and external auditors for audits and reviews
✅ Recommend and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy within the finance department
🎓 Qualifications & Experience:
🎯 Education: CA / ACCA Finalist (Articles completed from a reputable CA firm)
📅 Experience: 3–5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory role
💻 Technical Skills:
Proficiency in accounting software (Oracle Fusion experience is a plus)
Strong understanding of IFRS, taxation, and financial reporting standards
🗣️ Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical abilities
🚀 Mindset: Team player, proactive, and results-driven
⏱️ Availability: Candidates who can join immediately or within a week will be preferred
