Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: AED 8,000 – AED 12,000 (Based on Experience)

A well-established private company in Dubai is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage financial operations, ensure compliance, and support business growth across retail and F&B operations.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports
Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations
Handle monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes
Ensure compliance with UAE VAT laws, tax regulations, and VAT filing requirements
Support internal and external audits
Analyze accounting data to ensure accuracy and consistency
Lead process improvement initiatives within the finance department
Assist in inventory accounting and cost control for retail and F&B operations
Collaborate with retail, operations, HR, and cross-functional teams

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA, ACCA, or CMA certification is preferred
Minimum 5 years of professional accounting experience
Strong understanding of UAE VAT laws and financial regulations
Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks or ERP systems)
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
High attention to detail and ability to work independently
