BDO in Oman is looking for a detail-oriented and skilled Accountant to support daily finance operations, ensure accurate reporting, and maintain regulatory compliance.
This role is ideal for candidates with strong analytical abilities, hands-on accounting experience, and a solid understanding of local tax/VAT laws.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
✔ Maintain and update general ledger entries & reconciliations
✔ Manage Accounts Receivable and ensure timely collections
✔ Handle monthly, quarterly & annual closing processes
✔ Review and post journal entries, accruals & adjustments
✔ Prepare VAT & Tax filings in compliance with Oman regulations
✔ Support financial audits, internal controls & reporting activities
✔ Work with accounting systems and ensure accurate financial documentation
🎓 Qualification & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Commerce

Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience

Strong knowledge of GL, AR, journal entries & reporting

Understanding of VAT / Tax compliance in Oman

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office
-
Strong analytical, communication & organizational skills
