Position: General Ledger (GL) Accountant

About the Role:
A leading organization in Abu Dhabi, UAE, is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented GL Accountant to join its finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and reconciling general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and reconcile general ledger (GL) accounts on a monthly basis

Prepare financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules

Handle month-end and year-end closing activities
-
Ensure adherence to IFRS and internal accounting policies

Assist in audit preparation and coordination with external auditors

Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes

Collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure data accuracy
Qualifications & Skills:
✅ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
✅ Professional certifications (CA, ACCA, CPA) are an advantage
✅ Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance
✅ Strong understanding of GL accounting, reconciliations, and reporting
✅ Proficient in ERP systems and MS Excel
✅ Excellent analytical and communication skills
Compensation:
💰 Salary: AED 10,000 per month (based on experience and qualifications)
